Ingredients

  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 0.25 cup Biscoff spread
  • 2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 oz bittersweet chocolate finely chopped
  • 0.125 tsp kosher salt
  • 0.5 tsp vanilla extract

Method

  1. Whisk the milk, Biscoff spread, and cocoa powder together in a small saucepan until smooth.
  2. Set the saucepan over medium-low heat and cook for 4 to 6 minutes, whisking often, until steaming but not boiling.
  3. Add the chocolate and salt.
  4. Whisk until the chocolate is fully melted and the mixture is smooth.
  5. Remove the pan from the heat and stir in the vanilla.
  6. Divide the hot chocolate between two mugs.

Notes

For the smoothest texture, keep the hot chocolate steaming but not boiling. Refrigerate leftovers for up to 3 days; freezing is not recommended. For a dairy-free option, use oat milk and dairy-free bittersweet chocolate.
