Ingredients

  • 12 oz chocolate melting wafers
  • 8 oz pretzel rods

Equipment

  • 1 rimmed baking sheet
  • 1 microwave
  • 1 tall microwave-safe cup

Method

  1. Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Put the chocolate wafers in a tall, microwave-safe cup.
  3. Microwave at 50% power in 30-second intervals, stirring each time, until smooth, about 1 1/2 to 2 minutes.
  4. Dip each pretzel rod about two-thirds of the way into the chocolate.
  5. Let the excess chocolate drip back into the cup.
  6. Place each dipped pretzel rod on the lined baking sheet.
  7. Refrigerate the pretzels for 15 to 20 minutes, until the chocolate is firm.

Notes

For a smooth coating, stir the chocolate wafers thoroughly between microwave intervals. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks; freezing is not recommended. Use dairy-free chocolate melting wafers for a dairy-free option.
